Challenges in Microbiology
Microbiology as a discipline is becoming more challenging daily because the evolution of other species might take several decades of thousands of years but microbes are evolving very fast. They have direct relevance to humans because they are an intricate part of the human system as a human microbiome. They pose a challenge for humans because they could either help or harm us. Not only humans, they also affect plants, our food, and our environment. The present conference is an attempt to bring stakeholders from different backgrounds on a common platform to discuss these challenges.
Department of Microbiology and the Department of Biotechnology have come together with the Microbiology Society of India and TGTRI, Dehradun to organize this event. This event focuses on developing new ideas, collaborations, and encouragement of our new generation of students and scientists alike. This conference will also be a part of the annual meeting of MBSI so that all the members can interact and contribute to the growth of microbiology in India.
